How my recipes benefit: Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Restless Legs Syndrome

It seems there is no cure for arthritis. It also seems that allergic responses to many foods make arthritis worse. As soon as I eliminated these foods, my symptoms reversed and I improved greatly. If I would eat one of the offending foods, I'd suddenly be much worse the next day. My recipes avoid all of these foods. Wheat, sugar, and organ meats are major offenders. White potatoes are also a problem, but I do have a couple of recipes for those who do not have arthritis. White potatoes contain lectins which effect inflammatory disease by depositing in tissues surrounding joints, causing swelling and pain. White potatoes should only be used as a treat for people in general, because they are not the most nutritious vegetable and they promote weight gain in some people. The iron in vitamins makes many arthritics worse. The iron goes to the tissue surrounding joints and increases the symptoms and pain. Arthritics should take only vitamins without iron, and eat foods rich in iron instead. Some of these foods are: eggs, raisins, molasses, green leafy vegetables red meat, lima beans, and apricots. Cooking in iron skillets or iron woks are also good sources of iron. Read labels to learn the iron content of foods.

Foods high in antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids included in my recipes are great for arthritis. I eat salmon four or five times a week, and eat walnuts on a daily basis. These foods and others, are also great for fibromyalgia, which effects the muscles, causing stiffness and pain. Foods high in magnesium and calcium are also crucial for fibromyalgia. My recipes include these. I've found it is important to get most of the needed nutrients through food, as the body uses natural food the best. Supplements can then be added to boost the effectiveness of the food. My recipes have ingredients familiar to everyone.

Arthritics need to take extra omega 3 fatty acids from fish oils in softgel form. Arthritis medications can frequently be avoided because omega 3 fatty acids also act as an anti-inflammatory. My Sed rate (blood test for inflammation) was sky high for 20 years and has come down dramatically. Fibromyalgia needs good nutrition including a calcium and magnesium supplement. I'm sure that many of you have noticed that these pills or tablets don't seem to work. It's because calcium and magnesium in pill form isn't easily digested. I also don't believe that the currently popular "coral calcium" is the best source. I found a product in powder form that really works. One teaspoon full a day in water, is enough for most people. The product is called "CalMax" (A link to purchase CalMax online is on my "Links
" page). I don't promote this product I just use it.

Taking CalMax at bedtime, not only relieves the stress and muscle aches of daily life, but also stops restless legs syndrome for about 24 hours. CalMax must be taken daily though, to control this syndrome as well as fibromyalgia. I must repeat though, that taking supplements may have little effect if your basic nutrition isn't good.

What kind of fuel are you putting in your body?
