How my recipes benefit:
Edema, Diuretics, High Blood Pressure
If you have edema (swelling), heart, kidney, high blood pressure or other serious medical problems,
then you absolutely need to be taking the diuretic (water pill) your doctor has prescribed. However,
you'll find that by using my natural recipes and avoiding man-made foods, your doctor will be able to
reduce the medication.
If you are taking a diuretic for swelling, and high blood pressure is your only problem, or you have
swelling without any medical problems, using my natural recipes and avoiding the harmful foods can
eliminate these problems. My high blood pressure and severe edema became normal after only a
few months of using my recipes. I believe that it's the manufactured foods that can cause high blood
pressure and edema in people without a medical diagnosis other than obesity to cause these problems.
Avoiding bad fats and eating foods with omega 3's also helps blood pressure. Manufactured foods are
high in salt, some of it hidden or people just don't read the labels and recognize it. Most of the
popular dry cereals contain more sodium than potato chips. Who would've guessed? ALL ready-to-eat
foods are high in sodium unless they specifically state low sodium. Always read the labels. As of
2003, the government is requiring the manufacturers of canned soups and processed meats to lower
their salt content. But even low sodium is too much salt for some people with edema and high blood
pressure. To bring mine down to normal, I literally kept my sodium intake every 24 hours between
500mg and 1000mg. There is about 600mg of sodium in 1/4 teaspoon of salt, so you can see the
problem. I bought salt-free cans of vegetables, ate lots of fruit, lean meat, and my recipes. My recipes
are already low salt and for a few months, I just left out the salt. Once stable, I now maintain a low
sodium diet, around 2000 to 3000mg daily. I use the salt called for in my recipes, and undersalt
everything else. If I notice any swelling in my ankles, I back off using salt for a few days. I took a
daily diuretic for 20 years. I take one only once or twice a month now.
Your body needs the right fuel in order to function at its best. It's the man-made foods that are harming you.
What kind of fuel are you putting in your body?
