Injuries
Our bodies were meant to be natural healing machines. Each person is responsible for putting the
right fuel in their machine so it can heal injuries. We are so careful to put the right fuel and oils into
our cars. But we think nothing about putting fast food, or foods high in sugar and bad fats into our
bodies every day. We read the gasoline pump and the containers of oil to be certain we're putting
the best into our cars. But most of us never read the labels on the foods we buy and see all those
harmful additives, including trans fatty acids that we're consuming.
When an injury occurs, whether it's broken bones, soft tissue injury, or trauma from surgery, it causes
our bodies to work overtime to promote healing. But if our bodies are already working hard to process
and eliminate bad foods and additives, it's unable to promote proper healing.
What a difference it would make if your body was 90% free of bad things and had all the nutrients
in a natural form circulating through your system. Try it and see. I did and it made all the difference
in the world.
In addition to proper nutrition which also caused my digestive system to work efficiently, I take a
few selected supplements. I don't promote these products that I mention, I just use them. One
supplement is called "CalMax" that is calcium and
magnesium in a powder form which is mixed with water. These minerals in powder form are digested
much better than those in tablet form. Calcium and magnesium really help in the healing of bones
and muscles. I believe this product works much better than the current popular "coral calcium".
Another important supplement needed in healing is grape seed extract. In my opinion,
the best form of this is in Solgar brand called "Advanced Proanthocyanidin Complex". It works on
soft tissue and blood vessels among other things. I read that a study in 2003 at Ohio State University
found that grape seed extract aids wound healing. It has made a huge difference in my recovery as
has CalMax and omega 3 fatty acids.
Your body cannot heal itself by magically pulling the nutrients it needs out of the air. You really don't
need me to tell you that fast food, junk snacks, convenience foods, soft drinks, and manufactured
foods do not contain what your body needs. These ingredients and foods aggravate or actually cause
many health problems, including weight gain. My recipes are natural and use ingredients familiar to
everyone. My numerous health problems were healed by eating
the good natural foods in their natural state and avoiding the bad foods 90% of the time.
