How my recipes benefit:
Sleep Problems
If you eat better, you'll sleep better. Does that make sense to you? It does to me, and it worked for me too.
Dieting, limiting calories and eliminating major food groups from your diet, cannot be conducive to
a good night's sleep.
The ideas behind my recipes are based on common sense. In this complicated technologically
advanced society today, common sense is often neglected. When a person's body has too many of the
bad fats, sugar, white flour, and additives circulating through the digestive and blood systems, it makes
sense that feeling good and sleeping good might not happen.
The absence of a major illness doesn't necessarily mean that you're healthy. If you don't sleep well,
something is definitely wrong. Even if your mind races with a million thoughts as you try to fall
asleep, natural foods as your only nutrition 90% of the time, will help you feel better and fall asleep naturally. In
addition to natural nutrition, calcium and magnesium are also beneficial to promoting sleep. The
problem is that these minerals in tablet form are not digested well by many people. I do not believe
that the currently popular coral calcium is the best source. I found an
easily digestible and absorbable supplement called "CalMax" (A link to purchase CalMax online is on my
"Links" page). It is calcium and magnesium in a powder form. I take a teaspoon full mixed with water
at bedtime, and it truly helps relaxation thereby promoting restful sleep. It also helps sore muscles,
fibromyagia, restless leg syndrome, and other health problems.
When your body feels better, your brain responds positively. The brain is fueled by the good complex
carbohydrates contained in fruit, honey, real maple syrup, some vegetables and natural whole grains
that are used in my cookbooks. Your body responds to what you think and to what you eat.
What kind of fuel are you putting in your body?
