Mary Glenda's Poetry Book:
"Bold Thoughts" About Nutrition & Related Consequences

Why did I write a book about my thoughts on nutrition and put them in poetry form? Yes, poems!

Because I believe that the points I want to make about nutrition are easier to understand in rhyming poems, than in a boring nutrition book. A course in nutrition is not needed in order to learn the really important things. The everyday, busy person who has only limited, precious time to devote to nutritious meals and snacks, only needs certain surface knowledge about nutrition and its consequences. Inspiration and motivation are also needed, but should be presented in such a way as to be more effective.

My poems do just that, and contain thought-provoking, heart-warming, inspiring, and sometimes chilling messages, while delivering certain points. I promise that you will never forget them. My poems are written in such a way as to invite reading them again and again.

I used logic, reason, and common sense based on actual facts, to determine what surface knowledge I wanted to absorb for myself. The subject matter for my poems is also based on frequent questions and thoughts many people have presented to me.

In reading the list of titles for my 47 poems, you can maybe get an idea of what my poems are about…. but maybe not. That's because my poems are unique and different. When reading them, you will quickly realize the points that I feel are so important for you to know, and that have changed my life so completely. Nutrition forever changed the path of my life and health. It can do the same for you. Eliminate all the confusing information heard on TV and that is read in books. Keep it uncomplicated by using common sense combined with the allergy friendly, health friendly and weight friendly natural recipes in my cookbooks, and the "wake-up call" poems I have written.

Adults of all ages as well as older children will enjoy and benefit from reading my poems. I keep a copy of my poetry book on my bedside table. I make it a practice to re-read 2 of my poems on occasion at night before I go to sleep. Why? I have found it extremely important to remind myself of the right way to look at nutrition and its consequences, because the body reacts to thought. I want my thoughts to be the right thoughts. I want the same for you.

I encourage you to invest in a copy of my book of 47 poems called "Bold Thoughts About Nutrition And Related Consequences". They are thought-provoking and easy to read poems. Some poems have as many as 10 to 13 verses, and others only 2 to 4 verses, but most average 5 to 8 verses.

Learning about good, natural, quality nutrition that tastes as good as the bad, manufactured, empty nutrition, doesn't have to be difficult or complicated. My cookbooks and poetry book show you a fun, simple, reasonable way to accomplish this goal. Sometimes all it takes is one sentence or one thought to change the course of a person's life. I know there is at least one in my poetry book that is waiting just for you!

Poems

Poetry can inspire the mind
to clearly see where one was blind.
To seek the truth in graceful words,
and dazzle more than singing birds.

Words that rhyme, delight with joy
the hearts of every girl and boy.
Each verse creates a picture show
of wonder that begins to grow.

My poems reflect what I have learned,
expressing dreams that I have yearned.
Nutrition changed my life, you see.
I reflect my thoughts in poetry.

This book begins a wake-up call
I hope is heeded by one and all.
Man-made foods are used too much.
Our bodies need a healthy touch.

I ask to show you where to start.
With poetry, I play my part.
Nature's garden holds the key,
for nutrition with integrity.
